Participation & Scope of Practice
What Transformative Tides Offers
Transformative Tides offers non-clinical, relational, and sound-based experiences designed to support reflection, presence, and meaning-making.
These offerings are presence-centered and consent-led. They are not psychotherapy, medical treatment, or crisis intervention, and they are not intended to replace licensed clinical care.
These experiences move at your pace, without pressure toward a predetermined outcome.
Offerings may include public and private sound baths, ceremonial and grief-informed sessions, one-on-one somatic-oriented coaching, poetic listening sessions, and writing or creative reflection experiences.
Consent & Autonomy
Participation is always self-directed.
You are welcome to choose silence, movement, rest, or withdrawal at any time—without explanation. You are never required to speak, share, or perform engagement in any particular way.
In group settings, you may arrive late, leave early, or step out of the space at any point.
Confidentiality
In private sessions, what you share is held within non-clinical confidentiality boundaries, except where disclosure is required by law.
In group settings, participants are asked to respect the privacy of others by not sharing identifying details or personal stories outside the session.
Respectful Engagement
Participants are encouraged to engage with kindness toward themselves and others.
In group settings, this includes allowing space for quiet and stillness, respecting facilitator pacing, and refraining from unsolicited advice or interpretation of others’ experiences.
Behavior that disrupts the safety or consent of the space may be addressed directly.
Health Considerations
Sound-based and reflective experiences may evoke emotional or physical responses.
Participants are responsible for seeking appropriate professional support when needed.
If you have sound sensitivity, epilepsy, metal implants, or related medical concerns, please consult a healthcare professional before attending.
When sessions are hosted in spaces managed by Transformative Tides, reasonable care is taken to support a safe and accessible environment. Participants remain responsible for using facilities in a manner consistent with their own comfort and health.
Minors
Minors may attend public sound baths with parent or legal guardian consent. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who remains on-site for the duration of the session.
Transformative Tides does not offer private one-on-one services to minors.
For private events hosted by third parties, the contracting host or organization is responsible for supervision and consent for all attendees, including minors.
Ethical Commitments
Transformative Tides is committed to participant autonomy and dignity, clear communication of scope and limits, consent-based pacing, cultural humility and ongoing learning, confidentiality within non-clinical boundaries, and professional reflection.
Questions
Transformative Tides offers non-clinical experiential facilitation designed to support reflection, presence, and relational attention.
These experiences are complementary and do not replace medical, psychological, or pastoral care.
